Population Planning

Strategic Regional Priorities and Planning

  • June 2, 2020
  • Population Projections, Regional Planning, Strategic planning, Strategic Regional Priorities, Workshops

The Hunter JO is establishing strategic regional priorities and planning in the Hunter.

A Regional Planning Workshop hosted by the Joint Organisation earlier this year brought together Planning Directors from all Member Councils and Central Coast Council. The purpose of the workshop was to facilitate Council input to a Hunter Regional Leadership Executive Workshop on Population Projections; to provide Councils with an update on the 5 year review of the Hunter and Central Coast Regional Plans; and to facilitate Council input to a broader review of regional planning processes being undertaken by the NSW Government.

The workshop provided a wealth of input from Councils which has since been communicated by the Hunter JO to these various planning processes. For more Information contact Steve Wilson, Director Regional Policy and Programs via stevew@hunterjo.com.au
