Circular Economy

Networking Breakfast: Circular Economy Roadmap Launch 2022

  • July 5, 2022

The Hunter and Central Coast region is collaboratively working towards developing the local circular economy. With a view of our region’s strengths and challenges, the Hunter JO has co-designed the Hunter and Central Coast Circular Economy Roadmap to showcase our successes and set a path for the next 12 months. This enables us to collaborate and accelerate towards our longer-term shared vision of being Australia’s leading regional circular economy.

Join us for our networking breakfast as we introduce our Roadmap and take a dive into what is happening across the Hunter. Hear from industry and local circular economy experts about circular economy projects and initiatives throughout the region. Register here today.

Circular Economy Roadmap Launch

This Roadmap provides an overview of the key circular economy projects that are happening across the Hunter and Central Coast region, demonstrating the outcomes of aligning our regional efforts. Developed alongside our circular economy stakeholder ecosystem, this Roadmap prioritises initiatives based on their feasibility and potential to create local benefits.

We are collaborating with HunterNet and MRA Consulting to showcase the work being done in the Hunter region in the circular economy space. HunterNet will be hosting a workshop following the networking breakfast about the new EPA Bin Trim pilot project for manufacturing, aimed at reducing waste and increasing business to business collaboration.

The principal aim of the workshop is to identify existing recovery pathways for waste outputs and alternative material sources for manufacturing inputs that can replace virgin materials in other enterprises. Time will be allocated to register your interest in the pilot project.

Find out more about our circular economy project on our project page or subscribe to our Hunter Circular newsletter! You can read our previous update about this Roadmap HERE.
