Hunter JO Annual Performance Statement 2019-20

  • December 17, 2020

The Hunter JO Annual Performance Statement provides an overview of the organisation’s achievements, operations, and performance over the course of the 2019-20 financial year. The Hunter JO has rapidly matured during this period, with a steady increase in program and project delivery through the Regional Policy and Programs Team, and a more established platform for advocacy having been developed across the whole organisation.

Some key highlights within the report include;

  • Our focus on intergovernmental collaboration, with the establishment of an MoU with the NSW Planning and Public Spaces Minister Rob Stokes, to collaborate on delivery of the Greater Newcastle Metropolitan Plan
  • Significant strides in the Circular Economy space, both through the Hunter BioCircular program, and with the launch of the Hunter Circular Website.
  • Increased local government capacity within the region, with new resources developed by the Hunter JO in the areas of Disaster Readiness and Communication, and Contaminated Land Management

Our commitment to collaboration and local leadership within the Hunter JO is interwoven in each of our programs and projects, and our Annual Performance Statement 2019-20 demonstrates what that vision can deliver for our Hunter region.
