  • September 15, 2020
  • Environment Laboratory, Knowledge sharing, Laboratory accreditations, Learning and development, Online information sessions, Webinars

The Hunter JO is creating opportunities for knowledge sharing alongside learning and development within the region. One such recent opportunity provided was an online information session for Council staff aimed at providing insight into the environmental laboratories who offer scientific testing of water, soil, air and emerging contaminants. Particular insights provided by the session included; the role of laboratories, the laboratory accreditation process, sampling experiences and the bad practices to look out for, falsification of laboratory results, uncertainty in laboratory measurements and results.

For more information or to express interest for similar future sessions please contact Peter Brennan, Regional Program Manager for Contaminated Land on peterb@hunterjo.com.au or (02) 4978 4024
